Jes has been practicing yoga and wellness since the early 1980s and teaching for more than 10 years. She studies yogic texts and sequencing philosophies from many yoga and fitness disciplines. The result is a wonderfully blended teaching style and a unique challenging class for children and adults that balances body, mind, and heart to help students enlighten up.

Jes’s greatest pleasure lies in sharing, mentoring and spreading the wonders of yoga movement, breathing and philosophy. In 2001, she created The Adventures of Super-Stretch™, an interactive fitness program, book series and games for the entire family developed to give children a physical outlet to express and empower themselves in a healthy and happy way; revealing their beauty from the inside out.

Jes is a co-creator and designer for Gorilla Yogis™.  An Industrial Designer, formally with Revlon and Aveda, Jessica is a 500 hour+ E-RYT Yoga Alliance  yoga teacher and National Educator, certified in Ashtanga Bikram, Power Vinyasa, Soft Touch Hatha Yoga, Thai Massage, Reiki Master and Y.O.G.A. for Youth™. Jes is especially thankful to all of her amazing mentors for their light and support, and to the love, generosity and compassion from all of the countless students - adults and children - her true teachers.

Nan "Thrilla in Gorilla" Gane Arundel

Born smack dab in the middle of summer, Nan comes by her love of sun and heat naturally. So ten years ago, smack dab in the middle of a cold Minnesota winter, when she stumbled into a yoga class and realized she could find the sun by saluting it and heat built by her own breath, thus saving her a ticket to Mexico, a nice little crush developed.  Though initially feeling quite inflexible and not sure what foot/arm/hip/head went where, she was charmed enough by the mini-nap at the end of every practice to stick with it. And then sure enough, breath by breath, pose by pose, sutra by sutra, the technology of yoga worked its magic on her. What had begun as a small crush turned into a full-blown love affair as Nan opened herself to learning about and sharing her enthusiasm for yoga.

Now, having sampled many different flavors of yoga--loving the spices of Anusara, Ashtanga, Vinyasa and always craving more-- and having studied with master instructors Jessica Rosenberg, Jeffrey Bores, Manju Patthabi Jois and  teacher training with Annie Carpenter of YogaWorks in Sydney, Australia, Nan loves teaching yoga..GORILLA YOGIS feels like the blend of everything she loves about yoga. Inspired by the sweaty aha moments yoga offers, Nan's vinyasa classes aim to be a groovy blend of bliss with a smile.

When Nan isn’t sporting yoga clothes, you can find her elbow deep in dirt designing someone’s garden, clad in an apron catering someone’s party, walking one of the lakes, or at the airport off to satiate her endless hunger for travel and experiencing the world.

                                    Lisa "PhotoRilla" Venticinque
If there is one thing that Lisa loves, it's diversity.  A true Gemini with a serious penchant for a mix of art, culture, and travel, she has woven her passions for photography and yoga into one big colorful mosaic.

Lisa first came to yoga through classes at her local YMCA: while first expecting yoga to be impossibly difficult as well as a real snooze, she was thrilled to eventually discover that yoga would change her life in the best possible ways.  In time she found herself drawn to the ever-expanding gifts of yoga: its challenges, its life lessons, and the incredible rewards that a regular practice brings.  She eventually headed off to Western Massachusetts to become a certified teacher at the fabulous Frog Lotus Yoga, where she was trained in a Hatha/Viyasa hybrid tradition.

Lisa's personal yoga-related mission, it is to bring yoga to other "unlikely yogis", as she once was.  In addition to teaching several vinyasa flow classes around town, she teaches regular classes for children, infants, seniors, and the elderly. Additionally, she is founder and director of YogaLab, a unique yoga studio project in Northeast Minneapolis launched in 2009 to offer high-quality and affordable yoga classes to local artists, musicians, and other community members who don't quite fit into the regular yoga studio scene.   Also, Lisa runs BlissLab:Yoga for Brides.

Lisa is also a professional photographer and photo producer with a diverse repertoire: portraiture, weddings, events, corporate work, children, and yoga photography  You can find more about her photography at Lisa25.com.
